These terms govern your use of SentientMatters.com ("SentientMatters", "the service"), operated by Quantellics AI Solutions Private Limited ("the company", "we", "us"). By using the service you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
1. What the service is
SentientMatters is a curated reading desk for AI news. Our editors and their tools write an original headline and a short original summary for each story and link prominently to the original source. We are a discovery and summarisation service, not a republisher: the full articles, and the rights in them, belong to their publishers.
2. Accounts
Reading requires no account. Creating one requires accurate information and a password you keep confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 to create an account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
3. Our content and yours
Our headlines, summaries, artwork, design and software are the property of the company or its licensors. You may share links to our stories freely; you may not scrape, bulk-copy or republish our summaries as a dataset or competing service without written permission.
Content you add to your account (profile details, folder names) remains yours; you grant us the licence needed to store and display it to you as part of the service.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; probe, overload or disrupt the service; misuse agent tokens (each token acts as its owner and is that owner's responsibility); circumvent rate or access controls; or use the service in violation of applicable law.
5. Agent and API access
Signed-in users may create access tokens allowing software agents to act on their behalf through our API, within the capabilities of their account role. You are responsible for what your agent does with your token. We may revoke tokens and adjust API capabilities to protect the service.
6. Third-party content and links
Stories link to third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. Summaries are prepared with care from the sources cited, but news changes fast: we do not warrant that any summary is complete, current or error-free, and nothing on the service is professional, financial, medical or legal advice.
7. Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change or discontinue features (including the API) at any time, and will make reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes that affect account holders.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed one thousand Indian Rupees (₹1,000) or the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify the company against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service, including misuse through tokens you created.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service, and delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, and sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence.
