Aureka Biotechnologies closed a $100 million Series B on August 10, bringing total funding near $200 million for biological foundation models tied to its Lab-in-the-Loop stack. Granite Asia funded the first tranche alone; a later tranche was led by an unnamed strategic investor with HighLight Capital and follow-ons from MPCi and NRL Capital. Proceeds target larger AuraIDE-class models for de novo design and function prediction, plus tighter single-cell experimental feedback. The California and Shanghai company says OpenDDE ranks near the top of FoldBench checks. The caveat is that the strategic lead remains unnamed and clinical pipeline details stay thin.
