Chennai robotics firm Solinas Integrity, incubated at IIT Madras, raised $5.5 million (about Rs 48 crore) in a Series A1 led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures and Mela Ventures, with the Luthra Group and follow-ons from SBI Ventures, Rainmatter, and 8X Ventures. Founders Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee build robots and AI that inspect, clean, and digitize underground water networks across more than 35 cities in 15 Indian states, plus Middle East sites. Capital will deepen municipal coverage, grow overseas, and extend into oil, gas, and defence. Caveat: municipal procurement is slow, so the Rs 100 crore FY28 revenue aim still depends on contracts converting.
