Palo Alto voice startup Fish Audio raised a $52 million seed led by Coreline Ventures and Capital Today, TechCrunch reports, after claiming $21 million ARR and more than 8 million users in its first year. The company sells expressive text-to-speech, cloning, and voice-agent APIs while open-sourcing several speech models. Named customers include HeyGen, LiveKit, and Sanas. Funds will push speech-to-speech and audio understanding. Caveat: creators previously alleged non-consensual voice uploads, and while Fish says takedowns now clear in minutes, unauthorized voices can still sit live until someone reports them.
