Google ships Gemini 3.6 Flash and Flash Cyber while 3.5 Pro stays delayed

Google DeepMind released Gemini 3.6 Flash as a cheaper, more token-efficient workhorse for coding and multimodal jobs, cutting output tokens by up to 17% versus 3.5 Flash. Alongside it came 3.5 Flash-Lite for high-throughput agent workflows and 3.5 Flash Cyber for finding and patching vulnerabilities inside CodeMender. AI coding startup Cursor plans to open its first India office by year-end, Asia-Pacific head Simon Green told Moneycontrol, after hiring remotely across Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. India is now its third-largest market, with more than 3 million developers after tripling in a year. Cursor launched India-priced Start at Rs 649 a month with UPI, between Free and the roughly Rs 2,000 Pro tier.
