Pinegap raised $8 million in a Series A led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with Inventus, Silicon Valley Quad, and DeVC joining, Economic Times reports. Founded by Ankit Varmani and Deepak Sharma, it builds fund-specific agents that automate earnings previews, company primers, and thesis trackers on each client's data and formats rather than a generic chatbot. The firm says more than 1,000 agents already serve over 100 institutional clients, producing upwards of 50,000 reports a month. Proceeds fund go-to-market, engineering, and former equity analysts. Caveat: traction figures are company-reported, and rival research copilots are crowding the same desks.
