Compute scarcity is turning into a financing story. Volta Infra, a seven-month-old AI infrastructure startup, said it raised seed and Series A capital at a $2.4 billion valuation and lined up a $5 billion factory financing program with Azora. The Economic Times, citing company statements and Bloomberg reporting, says Azora, Andreessen Horowitz, Altimeter, and Nvidia led rounds totaling about $300 million. Volta also announced a $10 billion European cloud partnership with Bitdeer for a 133 MW Norway site. Caveat: Bloomberg names Anthropic as the unnamed lab customer; Reuters could not verify that, and Anthropic declined comment.
